Application Instructions

For effective waterproofing and long-lasting exterior protection, follow these recommended application steps.

Step 1: Surface Inspection

Inspect the terrace, balcony, or exterior wall for cracks, damaged plaster, loose coatings, dirt, and other surface imperfections. Identify any areas requiring repair before waterproofing.

Step 2: Surface Cleaning

Clean the surface thoroughly to remove dust, grease, loose particles, dirt, and other contaminants. Ensure the surface is suitable for waterproofing application.

Step 3: Repair Cracks and Damaged Areas

Repair cracks and surface defects using appropriate repair materials. Allow repaired sections to cure and dry according to the repair product's instructions.

Step 4: Prepare the Self-Priming Coat

Prepare the self-priming mixture using 3 parts Sarvottam Damp Lock and 1 part clean water.

Stir thoroughly to achieve a uniform mixture.

Step 5: Apply the Self-Priming Coat

Apply the diluted self-priming coat evenly over the prepared surface using a suitable application tool.

Allow the coating to dry according to the manufacturer's recommended drying time before proceeding.

Step 6: Apply Waterproofing Topcoats

Apply Sarvottam Damp Lock in its undiluted form for the waterproofing topcoats.

Ensure uniform coverage across the surface, particularly around corners, edges, and previously repaired areas.

Follow the manufacturer's technical instructions for the required number of waterproofing coats and recoating intervals.

Step 7: Allow Proper Drying

Allow the waterproofing system to dry and cure according to the manufacturer's recommendations before applying subsequent finishing products.

Step 8: Apply Exterior Finishing Paint

For the specified decorative finishing system, apply two coats of Sarvottam Ultimate Protect Exterior Emulsion over the appropriately prepared Damp Lock coating, following the relevant product instructions.

Sarvottam Damp Lock has separate coverage recommendations for:

• Fresh Painting: New and properly prepared exterior surfaces.

• Repainting: Previously painted exterior surfaces.

Actual coverage depends on surface porosity, condition, preparation, and application method. Refer to the manufacturer's technical data for exact coverage rates.
